Room. Lovely, food amazing, staff very nice and really enjoyable stay
Great log fires, comfy beds & good choice of wine.
Only complaint would be the lack of parking spaces at the weekend/busy times.
Lovely pictures & plenty of interesting items throughout. Very comfortable bedroom. Bright attractive breakfast lounge, lovely garden views. Friendly helpful staff. would come again if in the location.
Staff very helpful - even went out and bought me some toothpaste
Staff were very attentive, quality of food and service was very good.
My bill was calculated incorrectly and I was being charged for someone else's wine. Then when it was re-calculated I was still being charged an 'optional' service charge on the original bill. As a guest who is staying in the hotel I object to there being a service charge automatically added to the evening meal and then being asked if that is OK. On a minor point the pillows are far too soft.
Great service, beautiful room, excellent breakfast, friendly, our favorite B&B during our 2 week stay in the UK!!
The reception from staff; the relaxed but attentive ambience; the good mix of modern interior design and finish combined with a generally old building; a feeling of being in the centre of a charming small town but at the same time a sense of independence and security; (only having breakfast) a good selection of cold and hot food, well prepared and served.
Very little - probably just the slight dripping sound of the leaking/sticking ball valve on the loo cistern filler.
Just a very good hotel in the place I wanted to be in for business and leisure! (see above, I wanted to tick both).
Slight reservation over the dinner menus - no salads or fruit.
The duvet, pillows and warm welcome.
Ants crawling across the table at breakfast and the speed at which are table was not cleared... We walked away from it in the end!! Also, bizarre to hear that a cappucino could not be served before 10am?!?!
Food was excellent. Really enjoyed the gluten free lemon trio!
Would have been good to have a selection of teas in the room , like decaf, mint, green etc. shame about the ants on the breakfast table!
Dinner was delicious, the room fab it was all lovely
My Fiance and I stayed here for one night and loved it. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel and accommodation was very clean. Prior to dinner we were taken into a lovely lounge with an open fire and one of the staff brought in a small selection of canapés whilst we chose our meals from the menu. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxed night or two away and worth every penny....I would highly recommend it.
Housekeeping staff very friendly and responsive
Breakfast service not brilliant. Shoved in another place to have breakfast because usual place was full and had to eat whilst very hot in conservatory and sun full in my face, mentioned it to staff member who basically ignored my comment. Not offered any more coffee or toast ... Disappointed this visit .
The cruisine was attractively presented and tasted delicious. The room and drawing rooms were very comfortable The staff were very attentive and polite.
We had a problem with our shower in bedroom 1. We couldn't regulate the temperature.
We had previously stayed at the Bridge House and our experience on both occasions was wonderful. The staff are lovely and very helpful. We look forward to returning one day.
